  • Academic Search Complete - Provides full-text articles from more than 5,500 multi-disciplinary, scholarly journals and publications.
  • Biography Resource Center - Provides biographies, magazine articles, images, and website links for more than 900,000 people; searchable by name, occupation, etc.
  • Biological Abstracts - Provides bibliographic references to life science journal literature published in over 4,000 international journals from 1995 to present. NOTE that this database is not FULL-TEXT.
  • Environment Index- Provides indexing and abstracts for over 1,600 international journals and books pertaining to the environment. Includes a thesaurus. NOTE that this database is not FULL-TEXT.
  • JSTOR - The Scholarly Journal Archive - Provides a multi-disciplinary archive of scholarly journals and other resources across the humanities, social sciences and sciences.
  • Oxford Reference Online - Provides full-text access to many subject dictionaries and encyclopedias, maps, timelines, and more. Uses a unique login; see RPCC Library Services under RPCC Support in Moodle, or stop by the Library for more information.
  • Science and Technology Collection - Provides full-text articles from over 800 scientific and technical journals, and abstracts from 1,700 other science periodicals.

  • On-Line Biology Book, "An excellent Online Biology Textbook designed for the Internet. It is a virtual textbook that provides information on topics such as basic chemistry, cell biology, thermodynamics, enzymology, metabolism, protein synthesis, genetics, bacteriology, botany, zoology, paleobiology, evolution, diversity, and ecology." --MERLOT description.
  • PBS: Science & Nature and Health for documentaries on topics of Sciences & Nature, and Health issues.
  • Tree of Life Web Project,"a collection of information about biodiversity compiled collaboratively by hundreds of expert and amateur contributors. Its goal is to contain a page with pictures, text, and other information for every species and for each group of organisms, living or extinct."
