- PUBLICCITIZEN, is a non-partisan, non-government organization whose mission is to "serve as the people's voice in the nation's capital."
- ThisNation.com, with no government affiliation, this site boasts "factual, unbiased information about government and politics in the United States" and includes an online textbook. It is authored by a political science professor from the University of Oklahoma.
- U.S. Government Manual, the online version of the latest available official handbook of the Federal Government (2009/2010).
- GPO: FDsys - Federal Digital System, the U. S. Government Printing Office online access to Federal Government publications.
