DUTIES:
Fosters, supports, and maintains a collaborative professional team environment with colleagues within Library Services and with other College faculty and service units. Provide Services department including supervision, reporting, planning, implementation and evaluation of policies, procedures, and services. Staff the Library Circulation/Service desk. Promote Library Services activities, events , services, instructional programs, and learning opportunities. Coordinate library instruction services to meet the needs of local and remotely located faculty and students, including but not limited to pathfinders and user guides, course-integrated instruction, schedule bibliographic instruction programs, and point-of-use instruction. Trains and supervises public services support staff and students employees. Create and instruct the one-credit-hour online LISR 1000 course as necessary. Coordinate services including reference, database access, proctored testing, subject bibliographies, and other patron resources. Coordinates and provides circulation and reserve services via the SIRSI Library Management System. Generates and maintains appropriate records and reports including financial data related to library fines, fees, charges, circulation usage statistics, and collection reports. Assist in the development, maintenance, and evaluation of library collections. Develops and communicates Library Services policies and procures to faculty, staff, students and community patrons.

Serials Services, Gifts and Exchanges Coordinator
Duties: Coordinate the Libraries Gift and Exchange Program, corresponding with partners, foreign and domestics, and selectors, claim missing issues, fill claims from partners for missing issues, maintain database, etc., on partners, titles sent and received, claims processed, both incoming and outgoing, problem resolution, revise and compile procedures. In addition to normal duties, perform other tasks when needed for special projects, such the creation of thousands of serial control records as a result of the LSU Libraries, migration to SIRSI, Unicorn system, assume duties of other staff when needed due to vacancies etc., training new staff, general troubleshooting, and act as supply officer for the department.
