The Historic New Orleans Collection: Located in the French Quarter, this institution houses major collections from Louisiana's past. Some images are available online from the Louisiana Digital Library.

Louisiana State Historical Resources: Archives: The repository for the documents and artifacts of Louisiana’s past.
